Cliffhanger 2009.

When I started this project, I had two initial stages of paintings in my studio. Every time I had worked on a painting, I took a picture. (Sometimes I thought : “this is it for today” and took a picture, then I was suddenly called back: the conversation was not over yet. Hence, a few photos were taken on the same day).

Of “The Threat of Upcoming Happiness,” I knew the title suddenly, on May 3. Of “What Emerges 1,” I didn’t know the title until after it was finished.
