Teska Seligmann, painter.
Teska creates oil paintings in which she tells stories about life, in an abstract visual language. It is precisely in abstraction that she finds the freedom to let the paint, brushes, the canvas, (the material) enter into conversation with her hands, heart and head. Having this conversation makes her happy. The paintings are the result. Colorful, contrasting, sometimes hushed, sometimes just full and agile.
In this exhibition at the Old Kitchen, her choices of hung paintings attempt to respond to what the space demands, with all that is present there in terms of color and movement.
